Spring Break

We got to enjoy our Spring Break together over the past few days. I had a final exam on Wednesday then I had Thursday and Friday off from school. It has been a good time to relax and spend time together.

On Wednesday night, we went out to dinner at a restaurant to celebrate the end of my physiology class. We didn't know that the restaurant has a popular Wednesday deal so it was actually quite busy for a weeknight! It was very good food.

On Thursday, we went shopping to the mall. We didn't really find much but I think Kristen was going through shopping withdrawals so we needed to go. On Friday, we organized stuff in our apartment, went out to dinner again at a local sandwich shop, and went over to a friend's house for dessert and games (they're in our ward and the husband is a classmate at med school). On Saturday, we headed to a local park for a walk and to play on the playground with Ethan. We capped it off with a movie and a trip to the ice cream shop.

Enjoy a few pictures from our trip the park yesterday! (For those of you with snow on the ground still, it's been in the 70s and 80s here and sunny!)

Snow day

We had a "blizzard" here in Lubbock yesterday so they canceled school (4 inches of snow here but it was windy. I don't think snow plows are a priority here as I didn't see any out yesterday). It was supposed to be a GI physiology test for us so I was unsure if the test would be today or what. They ended up announcing today that the test will be next week and it will be combined with our next unit exam.

Ethan and Kristen got back to Lubbock on Saturday night after a long ordeal to get home. Their flight from Idaho Falls was delayed so they ended up missing their connection in Denver. Everything worked out in the end but they had to spend the night there. Kristen reported that she had a great visit to Idaho though and Ethan had a blast with his grandparents, great-grandma, aunt, uncle, and cousins. I'm sure he was spoiled rotten!

Ethan still doesn't really crawl. He does more of the Army crawling. But he has been quite mobile and adventurous lately so we have to keep everything cleaned up!

Enjoy the pictures from yesterday!

Christmas catch-up

Well I've been slacking off on uploading pics from Christmas so here are a bunch all at once! We had a great time at my parent's house for the holidays. We relaxed lots, played with Ethan, enjoyed wonderful homemade meals, spent time with friends, went over to dinner at Uncle Neil and Aunt Lori's house, went to the Crocker Art Museum, opened presents, watched movies, and goofed off for a couple weeks! It was great.
My favorite picture! Silly Ethan! He loves playing with his tongue

More of Ethan and Grandpa. Apparently I didn't take any pictures of Mimi holding him because I didn't find any!

My mom got Ethan this play thing for him to stand in and jump up and down. He liked it!

Ethan "walking"

Ethan was lucky enough to get an early Christmas present from his Grandma and Grandpa Gardner: an Exersaucer! Ever since then, he has been a lot better about locking his knees to try to stand up. So we decided to have a little fun and have him walk!

Our Reindeer

Here are some pictures of Ethan in a cute outfit that his Mimi (my mom) bought him! I think it's a reindeer

We're very excited to be heading home next week. I have two finals then we take off for California on Saturday.
